If We Are The Body: Casting Crowns
Thursday, November 21, 2019
Casting Crowns was founded by youth pastor Mark Hall at First Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, FL in 1999. They moved to Stockbridge, GA in 2001 and added several members and Mark took a position at Eagles Landing Baptist Church in McDonough. They released two independent albums on CD. One of them found its way to Mark Miller, lead singer of the country band Sawyer Brown. Miller signed them to the new label Beach Street Records, a division of Reunion Records.
They released their first studio album, Casting Crowns, in 2003. It was produced by Miller and Steven Curtis Chapman. The first single from the album, “If We Are The Body,” became the group's first #1 radio hit.
Here's the official lyric video for “If We Are The Body.”
