There have been numerous programs looking at the tragedy of 9/11. Stories from those in the World Trade Center who were able to get out, first responders, and air traffic controllers working that day. There is a new documentary on Apple TV + with former President George W. Bush and members of his cabinet reflecting on what they went through that day (which I highly recommend watching if you have Apple TV +.)
There is one more that was put together by WABC-TV in New York that talks about that day from the reporters' side. These are the stories of the reporters and crew who covered the story. You can see how the events still haunt them to this day. John DelGiorno, WABC's helicopter reporter (pictured on my main blog page), is a good friend of mine. We worked together for a few years before I left New York and moved to Atlanta in 2000. You can watch the documentary in its entirety here-
I had a few more friends who reported on the attack. I can't imagine how they were able to contain their emotions as they covered the horror. I pray for all those who were there. It's a day I will never get, and I believe it's a day we should never forget.
