/D-O-N-E/ Breaking my “social-medialess-Saturdays” to say “YES! I did it!” As of 5 minutes ago - at 49 years old - I have read the Bible completely. I started January 2019, and it took me just shy of 18 months, but I did it! I can’t even begin to tell you what consuming THE WORD of God has done for my soul this last year and a half. The “crazy” that we all know to be 2020 actually started March 2019 for me. When I tell you that His Word met me every single morning….alive, active, and never returning void….it’s the truth, y’all. Were there things I wrestled with? Yes. Were there passages that were hard? Yes. Were there things that I didn’t like? Of course. But at the end of the day, if I’m going down, I’m going down believing the Bible is the inspired Word of God. I know we’re living in a time where many Christians are “setting aside the Bible in an attempt to be more like Jesus,” {Beth Moore, Passion 2017} … but NOT this girl. Father, I am holding onto Your Word white-knuckled. You have met me, and sustained me in these pages. You are the Bright Morning Star, and oh how I love You. -Revelation 22:16.
