Spherion Gainesville, FL has a client looking for a Technical Service Desk Specialist to provide spare part setup, parts issue support and strategic stocking advice. You will recommend spares lists, predictive operating cost models for new product development, SKR's for the logistics business, frontline service and sales organization in their Alachua, FL facility. Let's get to work. Temporary with a possibility of a permanent position Alachua, FL Schedule: FT M-F 8a - 5p Salary: starting at $22/hr DOE Please email resumes to Rose Crane - rosecrane@spherion.com Responsibilities: - Technical parts support - Respond to parts related queries from the Sales Area???s within a timely and professional manner, using all inventories, parts and engineering systems to define a solution - When required, provide information to Technical Documentation for the creation of Parts Bulletins; participate in the review to ensure accuracy - Ensure that all necessary parts are set up and available within Logistics - Manage existing part numbers in the system by making changes based on ECN updates. (Part replacements/supersessions and obsolescence)- Participate in the creation of NPD RSPL lists and setup of all field replaceable newly created items into the Global Item Master. - Creation of a Cat D Stocking request with a recommended key stockroom and follow through on stocking parts in the global warehousing system - Provide initial recommended spares lists for the first unit into a country/region with stock quantities, max/min and reorder points - Work with parts and Service managers to increase market share - Provide stock recommendations based on Sales Area forecasts, sales companies, Logistics and customers - Report abnormal parts usages - Ensure critical/major components are in stock to support rigs - Manage stock and develop strategies to reduce and/or eliminate OSMI - Participate on the Global Pricing Team to make recommendations - Send pricing requests to Pricing Team. Play key role in NPD projects and assist in developing safe, reliable, and cost-effective products - Drive and /or participate in projects developing aftermarket offerings - Demonstrate, respect and commitment to the IMS System (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 &; ISO 45001:2018) taking accountability for its effectiveness and continual improvement - Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associates degree - High level of initiative, drive and determination to achieve goals and targets - Computer competence in database, Microsoft suite - Strong emphasis on time management and attention to detail - Problem solver with sound decision making capabilities - Good written and verbal communication skills - Highly developed listening and meeting skills - Technical service or experience in assembly - Experience in equipment repair for the mining and/or construction industry - Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and service system/s - Part BoM structure knowledge and Team Center experience
