Description:
Reporting directly to senior management, the senior tax accountant will fill a key permanent position working on all aspects of client services. Duties would include: • Preparing complex individual, S-corporation, corporation, partnership, fiduciary, and other local, state and federal tax returns • Preparing tax planning engagements and communicating tax planning opportunities to senior management • Researching technical issues for clients and/or the firm • Monthly client engagement, including QuickBooks, payroll, and sale tax duties • Recording transactions in ledgers and preparing trial balances and financial statements using QuickBooks software
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting • CPA (preferred or working towards) • Public accounting experience in CPA firm • High potential candidate – career growth path • Strong tax, communication, accounting, and analytical skills • Can handle complex 1040/K-1 schedules • Strong technical skills-keeping up with laws, tech, software, etc.
