Do you want to make an impact on students' lives, earn outstanding pay, and have fun at the same time? As an instructor with Tried & True, you will be teaching ACT classes on high school and college campuses, making college accessibility a reality for students from all economic levels. We are looking for in-person instructors who can also bring out the excitement in students, even for something like test prep. You will engage students with creative activities and games. We provide the training, the curriculum, the lesson plans, and the students. You provide your experience and sparkling personality. At Tried & True we partner with nonprofits throughout the area to deliver fun, engaging, and inspiring classes to low-income students. We are seeking passionate individuals who want to develop valuable, transferable skills while making a difference. Qualifications:
Job Requirements: • A passion for learning • Engaging classroom presence • Ability to break down complex concepts into easy-to-understand explanations • Comfortable teaching high school level Reading, Writing, Math, and Science • Reliable transportation • An open or flexible summer schedule • A completed bachelor’s degree or proof of progress toward a bachelor’s degree • Teaching or tutoring experience a plus • Public speaking or youth mentoring experience a plus
