Son Safaris Mission Trips Director

Description:
Role As the Trips Director, you will help ignite a passion for God’s creation by making our mission trips to KwaZulu Natal, South Africa happen. You will engage with trip team members from recruitment to trip return and debrief, coordinate all trip logistics and travel plans, communicate with partners, implement logistics on-the-ground during trips, and manage unexpected circumstances throughout planning and trip execution. Responsibilities Process new Team member applications, facilitate Team member onboarding process, and maintain updated Team member rosters Communicate regularly with Team members about deadlines and logistics Collaborate with Executive Director to engage current and former Team members for the purposes of fostering relationships and a sense of community. Execute pre-trip project plan and manage any new or unexpected circumstances Execute in-country trip plans and logistics and manage any new or unexpected circumstances Collaborate with in-country Safari Guide to generously host Team members and ensure their safety Collaborate with in-country Safari Guide to lead service learning conversations, fireside chats, and devotionals. Facilitate Team debrief upon return from South Africa Lead and supervise the Trips Support Intern You will work an average of approximately 40 hours per week with flexible hours. Most of your work is completed remotely in the state of Georgia with the exception of weekly meetings with the Executive Director and weekly staff meetings. Must be available for sporadic evening and weekend events. You will work in South Africa preparing for and serving teams for approximately 8 weeks each summer.
