Description:
The position of Children’s Church Leader at Turin United Methodist Church, Inc. is a vital position to the education and well-being of the spiritual lives of our children. It is currently a part-time, professional position with duties primarily from 11:00-12:00 on Sundays. This position will create an engaging, learning atmosphere for children ages 4-13 while at church. Primary Functions The following is a general list of the basic duties of the Children’s Church Leader. • Enthusiastically, creatively, and accurately teach the children Bible lessons with curriculum of your choosing. • Lead children through bible stories, games, crafts, activities, and snack. • Interact with children during teaching to model appropriate behavior and provide redirection, and clarification when needed. • Manage volunteers to ensure proper levels of monitoring of children (two adults). • Communicate and meet with children’s church volunteers to collaborate ideas of lessons, supplies, materials, etc.
Qualifications:
Qualifications/Education/Skills • High School diploma • 1-4 years’ experience in a related field • Knowledge of the Bible • Computer processing – Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Social Media • Have a loving and cheerful disposition
