We are a customer service company, first and foremost, and expect everyone to work together to give the customer the best experience. Prepare, ice and decorate donuts based on Pastry Chef’s instruction/orders Make sure items are made to the standards of Heirloom Bakeshop Items should be presentable Assuring quality of each product Owning the visual result of each item put out Unboxing food deliveries Ordering products needed for the “donut room” and following up with vendors Preparing special orders based on instruction from pastry chef and executive chef Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and scheduling repairs with manager Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized Washing hand frequently Wearing gloves (and changing gloves when handling money or between tasks) when handling food Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service Ensure all bakery/donut items are fresh and presentable for customers. Team members will be required to work closely with other bakeshop and marketplace team members. A team-oriented attitude is expected at all times. Multitasking – it’s not uncommon for team members to complete more than one task at a time.
Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred. Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation. Exceptional listening and communication skills. Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods. Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. A polite, engaging personality. Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence. Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member/barista to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The team member/barista is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and may bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. Team Member may be required to travel or move from one bakeshop to another. Team members/baristas must also move in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments. Team members/baristas must be able to adjust or move objects up to 40 pounds in all directions. The associate may be subject to repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
