Staff Accountant/Tax Preparer

Description:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team. Responsibilities • Work closely with the department heads to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity • Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule • Advise clients on a full spectrum of individual, partnership, corporate, trust and estate tax services • Prepare and review federal and state returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, estates, and trusts • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through ongoing communication and superior service

Qualifications:
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting • 2+ years' experience in public accounting • Proficient in Microsoft Excel • Comprehensive tax compliance and strategy experience • Multi-state experience • Strong commitment to excellence • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Effective at multitasking, organized, and detail oriented • Capable of working in an office environment
