Description:
PRINCIPAL DUTIES: • Answering the Help Desk phone and responding to Help Desk e-mails. • Configuring, installing and moving computers, printers, fax machines and telephones. • Diagnosing and repairing computers, printers, fax machines, and telephone malfunctions. • Installing new software and software upgrades. • Training users on use of computers, printers, fax machines and telephones. • Learning and administering all applicable software that is used on the Suncoast network • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: • Associate degree or equivalent in related field required or two+ years of experience in IT position. • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook experience required. • Familiarity with basic networking terminology and concepts required. • Professional oral and written communication skills required. • Strong customer service skills required. • Experience or training in computer hardware and software support with Windows Operating Systems is desirable. • Must be willing to learn new procedures and follow established standards. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. • Physical mobility sufficient to service PCs and other equipment installed under desks, in wiring closets and to run cabling in ceilings.
