Overview The Knowledge Manager will focus on the integration of people and processes enabled by technology throughout the information life cycle to create shared understanding and increase organizational performance and decision-making. This position supports the Enterprise Information Services for Department of Energy (DOE) Savannah River Operations Office (DOE-SR) federal government staff and site contractors at the Savannah River Site (SRS) in Aiken SC. Responsibilities - Analyze the effectiveness of the knowledge management program by observing its usage and evaluate its impact to the organization. - Identifies opportunities to improve communication at all levels in the organization, such as the purpose and effectiveness of meetings, collaboration tools, share drives, workflows, user interfaces, tools, reports, etc. - Manages the current knowledge management practices as well as designs new knowledge distribution policies, dash boards and all other forms of organizational communication. - Assist the DBA in the design and implementation of data strategies, along with overseeing the collection, storage, management, quality, and protection of data. - Act as a mediator to answer the queries of the clients and staff about the knowledge management products and practices. - Utilize the knowledge base resources and design a training module for the staff and clients to help them access the knowledge management tools. - Encourage the staff share knowledge effectively and efficiently. - Obtain an in-depth understanding of the information in the databases maintained by the organization. - Should be able to transform the ideas of management and implement appropriate solutions in the organization. - Leadership quality and ability to guide all team members - Reports to the IT/Cyber Program Manager


Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree preferred - 5 years+ experience in information technology, information management, communications, or knowledge management - Must be able to possess a "Q" level security clearance - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Multitasking, problem-solving and time management skills - Ability to work with minimal supervision - Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. - Skilled in Microsoft 365 Cloud Tools (e.g. Outlook administration, Teams, Power Automate, SharePoint/OneDrive, Azure), audio/visual systems, webpage design - Excellent competency in MS SharePoint design and administration
