Description:

Manages all the accounting needs for Aiken County Bard of Disabilities which has fewer than 20 employees. Under supervision of the Executive Director, prepares annual budget, maintains the business ledger, prepares financial statements, records transactions, and processes timesheets and payroll. Maintains employee personnel and training records and assists with the human resources function. Assists in provision of administrative functions of a confidential nature for the Executive Director.


Qualifications:

Must possess a minimum of a two-year degree in accounting OR high school diploma and comparable bookkeeping experience. Should be familiar with accounts receivable and accounts payable and managing databases including payroll input and transmittal. Must have good word processing skills and the ability to perform general clerical duties; Must have computer experience/knowledge. Knowledge of labor laws and QuickBooks Enterprise is a plus. Must be able to use discretion, respect confidentiality, and exercise independent judgment; must be reliable, accurate, flexible, and well organized, and able to deal effectively with the organization’s staff, individuals with disabilities and their families, as well as the public Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record, as determined by Board policy, and a car for limited use on the job Must be supported by three (3) or more references from responsible individuals
