Anona United Methodist Church: Director of Infant-Preschool Ministries (Part-Time) Anona United Methodist Church is seeking a Director of Infant-Preschool Ministries to teach, lead, and care for our youngest children as they begin their Christian journey. We are looking for a team player who loves God, children, and their families. The ideal candidate will be passionate about taking care of infants and preschoolers, teaching them about God’s love, partnering with their parents, and working with a team. Duties/ Tasks: • Cast the vision for, organize, and run Infant-Preschool Ministries, including but not limited to: Sunday morning programming and childcare for adult classes • Organize, plan, and work together with other Family Ministries Departments on additional events and activities, including but not limited to: Anona Child Development Center Chapel, quarterly Parents’ Night Out events, monthly Parents’ Morning Out events, and other large-scale events throughout the year • Create and maintain a safe and fun environment for children to play, learn and grow • Prepare curriculum and content for Sunday mornings and throughout the week using Orange First Look curriculum • Communicate regularly and consistently with parents, families, volunteers, and staff through email, social media, and website content, and other online platforms • Recruit, train, empower, schedule and lead teams of volunteers and staff • Equip volunteers and staff in advance with all materials necessary for programs • Ensure all Child Protection Requirements are met or exceeded during any Infant-Preschool Ministries activities • Work together with other Anona UMC departments, especially Family Ministries (Kids, Youth, and Young Adults), to ensure a child’s discipleship is consistent Approximate Hours Per Week: 20-25 • Includes Sundays, church holidays (such as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Christmas Eve, Easter, etc.), as well as weekends and evenings when a class requiring child care or a Children’s/ Family Ministry event is taking place


Skills/ Abilities: • Experience teaching infants and preschool-aged children according to their unique developmental stages and abilities • Passion for taking care of children and for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that makes sense to them • Christ-like leadership skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Knowledge of and experience working with electronic and social media communication platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, MailChimp, Microsoft Office, etc. • Desire to work on and be a part of a team
