Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Port Charlotte has an immediate full-time opening at our Customer Service desk for an enthusiastic individual that is passionate about providing great customer care in a dynamic and fast-paced retail selling environment! Our local HomeStore, independently owned by Bacon’s Furniture, provides a friendly and professional work environment. Qualifications:

o Prior experience in a customer service or retail environment (minimum of 2 years) o A focus on service to others and experience working on a diverse team o Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written o High level of professionalism in person and on the phone when dealing with customers o Critical thinking skills and ability to multi-task o Well-developed computer skills and a willingness to learn new ones o Ability to accurately handle money and reconcile receipts o Strong attention to detail o Willingness to work a varied schedule including nights, holidays and Saturdays (typical schedule is 9:30am-6:00pm) (we are closed on Sundays, Thanksgiving day and Christmas day) Customer Service Representatives support our sales team by performing the following functions: o Review sales orders with customers, insuring accuracy of information o Collect and post various forms of payments, document transactions, reconcile the daily activity log and maintain accurate records o Handle incoming calls with courteous and prompt communication o Work collaboratively and proactively to resolve customer issues o Place and verify orders for product o Check status of customer orders; schedule deliveries and pick ups o Maintain a clean and well-organized work space
