Description:
We are hiring ASAP a Smash Truck Driver / Machine Operator to join our team! You will be responsible for safely driving a Smash truck and operating a custom Smash machine to compact waste in open-top dumpsters. Veterans of the United States Armed Forces, law enforcement, and firemen are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities: - Interact with customers with a positive attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit - Safely drive a 26,000 pound Kenworth truck & skillfully operate a hydraulic boom - Properly track and document activity log via a cell phone - Report any issues or incidents to dispatch - Inspect truck before and after each day’s shift - Contribute to maintenance and cleaning of truck and machine - Commissions and bonuses available for both referral and sales activities Starting at 30 hrs/wk but quickly growing to 40 hrs/wk with overtime pay beyond 40 hrs. No overnight travel. PTO and paid holidays. $18-$20/hr, depending on experience.
Qualifications:
Qualifications: - CDL preferred but not required - Valid motor vehicle operator’s license, with a clean MVR - MUST HAVE previous large vehicle (fire truck, 18-wheeler, delivery van, EMS, etc.) driver experience - minimum 1 year - No more than 3 moving violations in the previous 3 years - Not cited for a defined accident in the previous 3 years - No serious offenses in the previous 7 years or pattern of unsafe driving practices - Are physically able to safely operate a class 6 truck - Be able to speak and read English fluently - Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required
