Description:

Our management team is fully engaged and supportive and we are seeking a new front desk clerk to join our team of amazing associates that support each other and take care of our guests and our business! Full time associates qualify for benefits to include Paid Time-Off, Holiday Pay, Hotel Discounts, and options for Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage. Hourly rate is $10.00 - $12.50 an hour based on experience and there is opportunity for advancement. Candidate must be reliable and be able to multi-task and consistently maintain a professional demeanor. JOB DUTIES • Greet guests and efficiently process registration and assignment of rooms. • Complete daily bucket checks of in-house guest to ensure information and rates are correct. • Assist guests with request and/or complaints and monitor issues through to resolution. • Answer inquiries via phone and in person pertaining to hotel, services and area attractions etc. • Protect guest privacy and safety when within reasonable control of the position to do so. • Maintain records of room availability and guests' accounts. • Compute bills collect payments and post charges to PO System. Maintain accurate cash drawer. • Handle lost and found items in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. • Complete department/shift checklists and/or reports for relevant shifts. • Maintain visibility and availability to guests. • All Associates must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. • Report all accidents, injuries, property damage and unsafe conditions to management immediately. • Regular work attendance which may include afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays. • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

SKILLS • Ability to input data accurately into the computer. • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. • Strong ability to multi-task and comfortable working with diverse people groups. • Ability to consistently deliver good service and effectively deal with customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy. • Candidate must be comfortable working alone and trustworthy. • We are a small staff in a business that never closes. To be fair to every employee -weekend and Holidays are required as needed. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE • High school diploma and or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required. • Prior hotel front desk is preferred but not required for this position. • Cash management experience and able to execute moderately complex math calculations such as discount rates and taxes preferred. • Exposure to Microsoft Word and Excel and e-mail preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Ability to stand for long periods of time. • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds maximum. • Frequent to constant standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to fingers to feel/touch. • Frequent smiling. • Occasional twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, sitting, climbing stairs
