Never Alone

The major theme of Psalm 119, the longest chapter in the Bible, is the goodness of God’s word. Each 8-verse stanza starts with a different letter of the Hebrew alphabet (there are 22 of them). There are sub-themes throughout the chapter, and in this next group of stanzas one of them is the fact that those who love God’s word have a special relationship.
We find verses like, “I am a companion of all those who fear You, and of those who keep Your precepts.” “May those who fear You see me and be glad, for I wait for Your word.” “May those who fear You turn to me, even those who know Your testimonies.”
Our relationship with God brings with it a community of faith, of fellow believers who can be relied on for prayer and support and fellowship.
I’ll be sharing from the next 5 stanzas of Psalm 119 during this week’s Middays Prayer Time, around 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM. For more commentary on each individual stanza click the links below.
