If And Then
Monday, November 23, 2020
The apostle John, the disciple whom Jesus loved, was pretty straight forward in his writing that we have in the New Testament. He states the same thing in a number of ways. It’s a simple truth and he wants to be sure that we grasp it in all its layers. If God loves us then we must love one another.
Of course the “if” in this statement is rhetorical, for God most certainly does love us, as John points out again and again. It follows then that our only legitimate response to that love, if we wish to claim it, is to share it with others. With all others.
I’ll be sharing from this section of the New Testament this week during Middays Prayer Time, around 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM.
