Highlights For The Week Of February 5, 2018
Looking back over the week on Mid Days With Jerry Williams, I shared quite a few videos. There were some other highlights as well.
There’s movie coming to theaters on March 16, 2018 based on the story behind MercyMe’s hit song “I Can Only Imagine,” which is also the name of the movie. The band did a new version of that song in anticipation of the film.
Mister Rogers Gets A Stamp
The USPS will celebrate the 50th anniversary of “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” by issuing a “forever stamp” featuring Fred Rogers. They will officially unveil it on March 23, 2018, the 50th anniversary of the airing of the first episode of the beloved show, at the Fred Rogers Studio in Pittsburgh.
Paul, Apostle Of Christ
Jim Caviezel plays another Biblical character, this time it’s Luke, in the new movie “Paul, Apostle Of Christ,” opening on March 28, 2018.
Grace Will Lead Me Home
David Dunn has a new song and a new video out, “Grace Will Lead Me Home.” I shared this video earlier this week on my Facebook page, and David saw it and gave it a “like.” Would have thought he might give it a “love,” but I’ll take what I can get.
Police from the North East Police Division in Scotland were involved in a bit of a stand-off this week.
Welcome To The Green Roof Inn
The Flagler County Jail in Bunnell, FL has been known as The Green Roof Inn for years. Sheriff Rick Staly has started playing up that angle as a tongue-in-cheek way of trying to discourage crime.
Change The Name
This week we played a little game via Facebook, changing the names of artists you hear on The JOY FM by swapping one of the letters in their names. Below is the explanation and then a screen shot of some of the responses.
