The Work Of His Hands
Monday, March 20, 2017
When we think of (or at least when I think of) the works of God’s hands we often think of concrete things, the kind of things we can see and touch. Many scriptures reference the works of God’s hands and list things like the earth, the heavens, mountains, oceans, deserts, forests and living things.
But Psalm 111 takes a different point of view and lists truth and justice as the work of His hands. Truth and justice are concepts, intangible notions. Yet here we learn they are the works of God’s hands.
This week, March 20 – 24, we’ll be reading from this Psalm during prayer time. Among other things, we’ll be asking the Lord to help us grasp this concept of truth and justice as the work of His hands. And we’ll ask Him to continue to use us to champion both of these concepts as we seek to honor Him in all that we do.
