Hi, my name is Matt Fields, and I am the Atlanta Producer for "The Morning Cruise" here at The JOY FM.  You can listen to us weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

First things first, I want to thank you for making what we do possible.  There are so many windows (radio stations) between the music and the people, but you have chosen to come to our window, and for that I am truly grateful for you and deeply indebted to you.

My roots run deep in Douglas County, where I was born and raised.  I graduated from Douglas County High School (Go Tigers!) in 2002, and then the radio bug bit…hard.  Fresh out of high school, I began my radio career at an Atlanta Top 40/CHR station as a promotions intern.  Who could’ve ever guessed what the coming years would bring!?  Fast forward ten years, and I can tell you that I have somehow managed to work for nearly every Atlanta radio station in some capacity or another.  For the past few years, I was a Producer for The Allen Hunt Show, a nationally syndicated mainstream talk radio show focused on “Where Real Life and Faith Come Together,” and broadcast to 160 markets throughout the United States, including Hawaii.  I also had the honor and privilege of being an on-air traffic reporter during The Neal Boortz, Clark Howard, and Sean Hannity shows at the legendary News/Talk 750 WSB in Atlanta, as well as four other Atlanta radio stations over the years.  

I told you all of that to tell you this…Jesus Christ is the only thing on my resume that matters!    

A little bit about my personal life:  I have a 6-year-old son, Brayden, who is my world and everything that encompasses it.  When I was 13-years-old, my dad helped me study to obtain my Amatuer (HAM) Radio license --- although I still have an active and valid FCC license, I do not even own a radio.  I love my family, my friends, sleeping in on Saturdays, Fall, funnel cakes, fairs, Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons football games, good bbq, sweet tea, strawberry and banana smoothies, and the beach.
