Sometimes the greatest comfort we can experience comes from being near someone else. Often words are not even necessary, just the physical closeness of another person is enough to strengthen and console us. Even more so when we realize how close God is.
Psalm 145 tells us that, “The Lord is near to all who call upon Him.” That is comforting beyond our greatest need.
When realize how close God is, how present and involved in our lives, we not only experience comfort, but courage and thankfulness. As we read the words of this Psalm we realize that we are never alone, never forsaken, never forgotten.
