Highlights from the week of February 12, 2017

Lasagna Valentine
Nothing says love like lasagna. I shared more on that premise on Valentine’s Day. The following was created using the Anchor app (more on that below).

And I shared Valentine’s greetings with family members with GIFs like this, created using the GIF GAB app.

Bad Days
We all have the occasional bad day. But more than one per week? What are these people doing?

Free App Of The Week
This one may have been around for a little while, but I just found it. It’s called Anchor. It’s an audio app that’s sort like a social media app. It promotes itself as “Radio Reinvented.” When you sign in you get a “station” to create and share audio. You can even turn that audio into a podcast and the app will distribute your podcast for you to iTunes, Google Play Music and other podcast aggregation sites. One of the cool features is that it will turn your audio into a transcribed video, but you do need to do some editing because their vocal recognition has a tough time if you don’t enunciate. Find out more and visit my “station” here.

Muting Twitter
I was getting a little fed up with all of the notifications on I was getting on Twitter. Seemed like they were simply the same Tweets that showed up in my timeline. So I decided to do something about it.

Trenton Walks To Work
Trenton Lewis is a 21-year-old dad from Little Rock, Arkansas. This is his story.

Record Setting Pizza
If I ever get to Mallie’s pizzeria in Southgate, Michigan I hope I have a bunch of friends with me, and $300. That’s what it’ll take to order and eat one of their record setting, 6-feet by 6-feet pizzas. The video below shows them taking the very first one out of an oven they made from a shipping container to hold the monstrous pizza.
