Highlights For The Week Of October 30, 2017
A Change Of Seasons
This week we saw the end of a month and a season along with the beginning of a new month and new season. You probably figured October ended and November began. But what seasons could I possibly be referring to? Why baseball and Christmas, the only two seasons that I observe.
The Houston Astros defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in seven game to win the World Series, bringing the 2017 MLB season to an end and ushering in the Christmas season. At least in my world. So to mark that transition, here’s a little Christmas music to get you in the swing of the season.
November is observed as Movember, a month to encourage men to grow a moustache as a way of bringing attention to men’s health issues.
Too Many Penguins
A Guinness Book of World Records record was set last weekend, for the largest group of penguins. Actually, it was for the largest group of people dressed as penguins. And I did some research, a group of penguins in the water is called a raft, on land is a waddle.
I think this video is pretty self-explanatory.
