Judging others

Does Matthew 7:1-2 mean that we can tell anyone who is living sinfully that what they are doing is wrong? I understand that we are all sinners, but this seems to have become a defense for telling others to mind there own business and not tell anyone that what the are doing is wrong. What are some biblical thoughts on this?
