About Kelsey Romick

Where are you from?

I was born in Long Island, New York, but I'm a southern girl at heart. We left NY when I was 5, and my family did some moving around before we made our final move to Newnan, Georgia. (I was 7 then.)

Favorite sports team?

I've only ever followed one sports team, and I have my baseball fanatic father to thank for that. The New York Yankees have always been "our team". In fact, going to a Yankees game together is one of the many things on my personal Bucket List.

What is your dream job?

Marine Biologist. I have always had a passion for the sea and ocean life. (Mainly Orcas and sharks, but I enjoy fishies too.)

Travel? Where would you go?

Oh, I would love to travel the world but my top 5 would be: Greece, Australia, Thailand, the Netherlands and to see The Northern Lights.

What is your role at The Joy FM?

I am part Promotions Assistant and part Receptionist. I handle a few office tasks such as processing our payables, approving the "Family Calendar", to answering phones. I also assist our promotions director by setting up community events, mailing out prizes, attending events and much more.

What are your weekends like?

Hangin' with family and friends, reading, being outside, crafty stuff, and coloring ( I'm so excited that's a socially acceptable thing for adults now).

What are a few of your favorite things?

Elephants, wolves, sunflowers, ballet, photography, old perfume bottles, dream catchers, weeping willows, essential oils and incense, the mountains, sailing, and antiques….just to name a few. :)

Favorite foods?

All food! :) hehe. Chinese. Mozzarella Sticks. Sushi. Seafood. Tacos. Chicken Parmesan. Mac-n-Cheese. My moms Creamy Garlic Pasta. (You haven't lived till you've tried this!)

Any Siblings?

Yes. My brother Caleb, who is older by a decade.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

Well, I have two. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

As well as, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
